日本人の「建前と本音」について書かれた論説文です。語彙・構文・文法には難解なものはみあたらず、（灘高校入試問題としては）標準レベルの英文です。論説文なので「堅い」話ですが、わかり易いテーマだったので、結構簡単に読めると思います。
